Who knew hopes and dreams could be paralyzing. When finally you’ve reached the moment where the sky is the limit and all you have is time. The moment where hope is choked by anxiety and fear.

“What if I fail?”

“What if I’m not really meant to do this?”

“Can I really do this?”

“Is this a stupid idea?”

“Who’s going to read my book… listen to my podcast… watch my show… buy my product… book me to speak…?

“… the enemy takes that beautiful imagination and uses wonder to stir up fear…”

Suddenly the dreams and desires that filled you with hope begin to catch fire and smother you with their smoke. You’re surrounded by soot and ash. There’s a darkness that comes with this kind of revelation… only this revelation is a lie.

This is what happens when your creativity is used against you. When the enemy takes that beautiful imagination and uses wonder to stir up fear and devastation. To steal… kill… and destroy. How easy it is to set blaze to ones gifts before they become a reality.

Beautiful woman, fearfully and wonderfully made… can I encourage you?

Hold on to that innocent sense of hope that filled you with burning desire before it was attacked. Whisper those God given desires back to your Creator and ask Him for peace. Ask Him for help. Ask Him for His endurance. Go boldly forth and be brave knowing that He is before you. Knowing that He has paved the way–a path that is a blank canvas just waiting for you to leave your mark.

Upon which He will say,

“Well done, my child.”
